So Quin has been jealous of all the attention she thought Ellie used to get, when she was the one having far more relationships?
It’s funny how we can perceive things so differently from how they actually are.
Oh. And FIRST! omg.OMG!OMG!OMG! (Sorry. I just have to get this out of my system. I’ll never be able to do this again. I appreciate you patience while I spaz myself silly.)
… Quinn has literally been using SJW and/or feminist terminology in this storyline, but the one people were insisting was just like an SJW was the creepy predator. I… don’t understand people. At all.
Because the previous girl WAS actually trying to start a relationship with Pumpkin. Quinn isn’t trying to at all.
I think it’s the W. When people talk about or identify as a “social justice warrior” there is the connotation of fighting something. At the very least, that suggests pushing a specific view or agenda to some degree. Quinn isn’t trying to push anything, other than for some privacy. So she’s not really going to hit what anyone perceives as a SJW.
As for feminism, the general views for the original feminist movements are pretty well mainstream. I’ve heard numbered waves used for description, so maybe that’s first wave? Quinn would certainly be a feminist by those standards. I don’t know if Quinn considers herself part of a later wave or not, but she mentions (in the future I think) who she was around who was talking about sexuality at least.
For terminology, if she’s talking about something that she has a word for, I don’t see why she would avoid using the word even if she doesn’t agree with views by other people who would use the word. While I don’t know her views on modern flavors of feminism, I am pretty confident she’d view flinching away from word use due to association that as ridiculous.
